Russia suggested on Saturday that a supply of Western weapons could be targeted in Ukraine, where the Russian Army has been advancing since late February. “We warned the US that the coordinated pumping of weapons from a number of nations is not only risky, but it turns these convoys into legal targets,” Putin’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on state television.
Russia said weapon delivery to Ukraine are reckless
“The implications of the reckless delivery to Ukraine of weapons like man-portable air defense systems, anti-tank missile systems, and so on,” Mr. Ryabkov added. Moscow’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov claimed Washington had ignored Moscow’s warnings and that Moscow and the US were not engaged in any “discussion processes” over Ukraine.
On February 24, President Vladimir Putin dispatched troops to Ukraine with the stated goal of “de-Nazifying” the country. Since Mr. Putin dispatched troops, Moscow has been subjected to a bombardment of international sanctions.
