BEL and the Defense Ministry have signed two contracts totaling 3,102 crores

In New Delhi, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) inked two contracts for 3,102 crores with Bharat Electronics Limited (BELBengaluru )’s and Hyderabad units.

The Ministry of Defense and BEL-Bengaluru have completed a deal for the provision of an Advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) suite for Indian Air Force fighter aircraft. According to a statement released by BEL on Wednesday, the total cost is expected to be 1,993 crores. 

Ministry of defense seeking Advance Electronic Warfare

The supply of modern EW systems will considerably improve the battle-survivability of fighter aircraft while conducting operational missions against enemies’ ground-based and airborne fire control and surveillance radars, according to the public sector undertaking. The Defence Research and Development Organisation created and developed the EW suite in-house (DRDO).

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) has inked a contract with BEL-Hyderabad for the Air Force’s Instrumented Electronic Warfare Range (IEWR). The contract represented a huge step forward in the IAF’s ability to prepare for future battles. It said that the contract’s total cost will be 1,109 crores. According to the business, the IEWR will be used to test and assess airborne EW devices as well as validate their deployment in an operational situation.
