In a pre-dawn terrorist attack in Jammu on Friday, April 22, 2022, one Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan was killed and four others were injured. In retaliation, security authorities killed two terrorists.
“Two terrorists have been slain thus far, as well as two AK-47 rifles, weaponry and ammo, satellite phones, and some documents.” They appeared to be ‘Fidayeen’ assailants. The operation has begun, according to ADGP Mukesh Singh. The incident occurred two days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s planned visit to Jammu.
A bus transporting 15 CISF soldiers for a morning shift was attacked by militants at about 4.25 a.m. near Chaddha Camp in Jammu’s Sunjwan region, according to an officer. According to the official, the CISF jawans replied against the insurgents’ firing and forced them to flee. Mukesh Singh, the Jammu’s Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), had earlier claimed that the militants were holed up in a house.
According to the police, they have information on the insurgents’ movement in Jammu. “In the night, we sealed off the area,” ADGP Singh explained. On April 23, Prime Minister Modi will pay a visit to Jammu. It’s his first since the Centre abolished J&K’s constitutional special status.
In Baramulla, a fourth terrorist was killed
Meanwhile, one more militant was slain in Baramulla on Friday morning, bringing the total number of militants killed to four.
Five militants were apprehended during a search operation in Malwah village, Baramulla district, north Kashmir, on Thursday morning. Yousuf Kantroo, a wanted Lashkar-e-Taiba commander, was one of the three militants murdered on Thursday. The operation is still ongoing, according to the police.
