PM Modi: We are committed to end inequalities

PM Modi on Saturday spoke about the inequalities elimination from the nation. He once again pitched the path of Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas (Everyone’s support, everyone’s progress). Prime Minister stated that the Central government is committed to ending and eliminating the inequalities in the country. He was speaking at the event of unveiling the 216-feet tall statue of Saint Ramanujcharya at Muchintal, Telangana. Saint Ramanujcharya was a Vaishnavite (Vaishnav) saint. Prime Minister also that central government is providing the social justice through various welfare programmes like Jan-Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana and Swachh Bharat mission.

PM Modi was in Telangana to unveil the statue of Saint Ramanujcharya. This statue was named the Statue of Equality. This statue is one of the tallest (216 feet) statues in the world in sitting posture. Prime Minister has said that India always had strong traditional roots which provide the strength from the preaching of great men like Sri Ramanujcharya. There is no conflict between development and tradition. Even greats like B.R. Ambedkar have followed the teachings of the Sri Ramanujcharya.

He also said that Telegu culture is one of the greatest cultures the world has. He continues to praise the Telegu Culture by referring to the enhancement of the film industry. He also mentioned a word for the recognition of Ramappa temple (Warangal) as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. He again praised Telegu Culture by mentioning the recognition of Pochampalli as World Tourism Village by the World Tourism Organization, Satavahana & Kakatiya Dynasties.

Draped in a long yellow silk cloth running down over his shoulders, and sporting a tilak on his forehead, PM Modi was conducted to a sacred fire in a thatched shed amidst chanting of Vedas by ruthviks. After he performed ‘purnahuti’ of Viswaksena Ishti, a ritual aimed at achieving one’s goals.
