ISRO to launch Earth Observation Satellite (EOS-04) on February 14

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) to going to launch its satellite of the year 2022 on Monday. ISRO plans to launch and place an Earth Observation Satellite (EOS-04) onboard PSLV C-52 on 14 February 2022. This will be the first launch under the chairmanship of S.Somanath. The PSLV C-52 is scheduled to launch at 05:59 AM on Monday from the launchpad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.

The weight of Earth Observation Satellite-04 is around 1170 kilograms. ISRO is planning to place EOS-04 in a sun-synchronous polar orbit of 539 km. EOS-04 is a radar-imaging satellite, designed to provide high-quality images under all weather conditions for applications such as agriculture, forestry & plantations, soil moisture and hydrology, and flood mapping.
