USA State Department has reacted to the statement made by Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi about the Indian government’s policy that has brought China and Pakistan together. Ned Price USA state Department spokesperson has said that they don’t endorse the statement made by Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi has made a remark in Parliament on Wednesday that Prime Minister Modi’s weak foreign policy had brought and strengthened the strategic relationship between Pakistan-China.
Addressing the media, the USA spokesperson made a remark that they will leave the matter to Pakistan and PRC to speak about their ties themselves. And for the obvious reason, he will not endorse the remarks made by Indian Leaders. He also said that there is no such requirement for the USA where they need to show their concern whether countries are choosing America or China and they still value their relationship with Pakistan.
“ We’ve made the point all along that it is not a requirement for any country around the world to choose between the United States and China. It is our intention to provide choices to countries when it comes to what the relationship with the United States looks like,” Mr. Price said in response to a question on whether Pakistan was working closely with China because it felt “abandoned” by the US.
Pakistan is a Strategic Partner of the USA
USA spokesperson continued and made a statement that Pakistan is their strategic partner. US and Pakistan are sharing an important relationship and they value their relationship with Islamabad across a number of fronts.
