69% of India’s adult population has received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccination, while 25% have received both doses

According to the government, 69 percent of the country’s adult population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, with 25% receiving both doses. It also stated that increased population density increases the risk of COVID-19 spreading, so it would be prudent to avoid unnecessary travel and keep celebrations low-key. According to the government, vaccination centers in rural areas have administered 64.1 percent of COVID vaccine doses, while urban areas have administered 35 percent.

It said that a total of 67.4 lakh doses (roughly 0.88 percent) were given out at vaccination centers that were not classified as rural or urban. Kerala has over one lakh active COVID-19 cases, according to the report, accounting for 59.66 percent of all COVID-19 cases reported last week.
